На Камчатке введены сроки охоты весной на территориях, которые являются средой обитания диких зверей и птиц, кроме особо охраняемых природных территорий федерального значения. Эта новость поступила от агентства лесного хозяйства и охраны животного мира края.
А именно - охотиться на бурого медведя на юге края (Быстринский, Елизовский, Мильковский, Соболевский, Усть-Большерецкий и Усть-Камчатский районы) разрешено с 25 апреля по 25 мая, в северных районах (Карагинский, Пенжинский, Олюторский и Тигильский районы) — с 25 апреля по 31 мая.
Специалисты агентства также сообщили, что еще летом 2014 года была создана общая квота на отстрел медведей до лета 2015 года. Она составляет 1700 косолапых. В период августа по декабрь 2014 года охотниками было убито только 300 животных, таким образом в весенний сезон 2015 года квота будет составлять 1400 медведей. По предварительным данным экспертов охотники вряд ли смогут отстрелять больше 400 медведей.
