Щука - один из крупных хищников пресных водоемов. Встречается она практически во всех регионах нашей страны – в реках и запрудах, и даже в морских заливах, например, Финском или Таганрогском. Предпочитает мутные воды – заросли, прибрежные зоны или непроточные воды. Вырастает эта рыбина до 1-1,5 метров, самые гигантские образцы вытягивают на 20 кг! Но обычные, средние особи этой рыбы не превышают 10 кг.
Весенняя ловля щуки по праву считается самой "плодовитой" по сравнению с другими сезонами. В начале марта даже если водоем еще не полностью освободился ото льда, щука уже начинает активно кормиться и подплывать к поверхностным слоям водоема. В это время поймать крупную трофейную щуку – самое обычное дело, перед нерестом они увеличиваются в весе за счет икры и молок. Пиковый лов будет продолжаться до нереста, который начинается в апреле. Затем будет резкий спад. После нереста клев возобновится, но это будет уже не та активная, голодная и агрессивная, поэтому нужно успеть поймать момент.
Ловля щуки ранней весной не требует какого-то специального рыболовного инвентаря. Не стоит пытаться ловить щуку зимними снастями, например, поймать щуку на жерлицы. Для весеннего клева оптимально подойдет спиннинг и искусственные приманки на щуку. Удилище стоит взять с безинерционной катушкой с мощным фрикционом и бесшумной подмоткой, так как рыбачить предстоит на небольшой глубине. Для катушки лучше брать стандартную мононить диаметром 0,3-0,4. Стоит помнить, что по весне щука не набрасывается на большую добычу, а предпочитает мальков и другую "мелочь", поэтому и приманка должна быть небольших размеров – 3-4 см. Приманку следует цеплять на надежные вольфрамовые поводки, иначе щука моет их просто перекусить и уплыть с вашей приманкой.
Рыбачить придется на мелководье, порой даже, еще не совсем избавившемся от ледяного покрытия, как можно заметить на видео ловли щуки ранней весной. Поэтому нужно быть готовым к зацепам и прочим неприятностям, и иметь с собой запасные снасти для ловли щуки. Поводка в ловле щуки должна быть быстрой и активной. Эта рыба, как и другие хищники, активно ведется именно на такой способ игры.
В теплые пасмурные дни хорошо ловить щуку на блесну. На видео весенней ловли щуки можно увидеть, что это вполне успешный способ лова и некоторые рыбаки таким способом пользуются все весенние месяцы рыбалки.
Как правило, щука имеет постоянный из года в год повторяющийся маршрут к местам нереста. На этих-то путях и нужно ее ловить. Опытные рыбаки их знают. Новичкам же или на незнакомом водоеме сначала придется облавливать все перспективные участки. Это затопленные коряги, граница проточной воды с водной растительность, затянутые тиной поймы. Весной щуки недолго задерживаются в проточном русле реки, поэтому искать их стоит именно в таких тихих заводях. На видео ловли щуки весной можно увидеть, что щука водится в самых неказистых, на первый взгляд, водоемах. Чаще всего, если удалось поймать щуку, то рядом можно запросто достать еще 2-3 – по одному они не водятся и в это время года, как правило, держатся небольшими стаями.
Ещё одним популярным способом ловли щуки является ловля щуки на кружки. Кружок представляет собой круглый плоский поплавок с закреплённой в его середине "мачтой"с леской. Во время поклёвки кружок переворачивается в воде, таким образом сигнализируя рыбаку. Обычная наживка при таком спобобе лова - живец.
Также продолжается ловля щуки на жерлицы или рогатку. В качестве жерлиц используются шесты или длинные палки, воткнутые в дно водоёма. На таком шесте монтируется простое устройтво сигнализирования поклёвки. Рыбаку остаётся только подплыть к жерлице и вытянуть трофей.
